Managing Director

Michael Donnelly is a Managing Director of McGowan, Donnelly & Oberheu, LLC (MDO).  Prior to co-founding MDO in 2009, Donnelly was an Executive Vice President and Principal of an Austin based wholesale broker focused on professional and management liability risks.  Before joining the wholesale ranks, Donnelly was a Second Vice President with United States Liability Insurance Group where he led the management liability division.  After graduating with honors from LaSalle University (Philadelphia, PA) with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Donnelly began his insurance career with Aon Corporation underwriting lawyers’ professional liability for an affinity program.  Mr. Donnelly holds a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation and is a frequent speaker on a variety of professional liability topics.  Donnelly is a former faculty member of the Insurance Society of Philadelphia.
